Each of us had a separate room with an ensuite bathroom, all clean and spacious, a kitchen and a salon equipped with two sofas, table with chairs, and a plasma TV. The lovely family are welcoming, warm, and helpful, ready to share local knowledge and to accommodate their guests special needs, should such needs arise. For those seeking peace and seclusion, or slow-life away from the bustle of large cities, the place is ideal. Over six days in Oscadnica, we were able to produce almost 1/4th of the monograph on which we were working, enjoying the mountainous landscape around. Within walking distance from the the house there is a little grocery store, and a restaurant, offering its customers wonderful service and excellent cuisine. Several mountain tracks begin in the vicinity of the "Windstille," which might be of interest to naturalists and hikers. A larger Coop supermarket and several ski-lifts are located within a short drive. In short, if your needs are as unassuming as ours, if you do not need jacuzzis, swimming pools, bars, or meals served by the hosts, the "Windstille" will be an ideal place for an extended stay, and a good base for excursions.
