Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesTook like an hour to figure out how to connect to the bluetooth speaker system, and it was very humid inside when we first checked in so had to blast the air conditioning and open all the windows to air it out while we went for dinner.
The private pool, sauna were great and bed was super comfortable!

NetherlandsNoise isolation was not ideal as we could hear our neighbors or people leaving in the morning or arriving late at night. While hotel is designed and decorated as a boutique hotel, carpets and lift wall textiles are old, scratched or dirty (stains are clearly visible). It is really a pity that they don’t put effort in changing this as it influences how you see the property overall and takes away all the good points mentioned before
Location next to subway (orange line connected to all key historical & sightseeing sites of Seoul), big comfy beds and a very nice bathroom. Staff was really helpful and friendly.

MalaysiaVery dark lobby didn't feel welcoming, there were broken lights too in our rooms and alleyway the day we checked in, which made for an uncomfortable start. It is a boutique hotel but the design is probably from the late 90s or early 00s, fairly dated lifts, wardrobe and fixtures around the room. Our superior double had no proper daylight in, so it can be claustrophobic for some, a proper window with daylight would've made the room in more positive order. The property is also a distant cab ride (approx 30-45 mins) to the districts north of the Han River (MyeongDong, HongDae, Itaewon etc), so that is a factor for guests to consider. Taxis were fine for us but for those intending the use of subways the location could be slightly afar.
Quirky property, the beds were comfy and the shower pressure is top notch. Location is relatively central in Gangnam, we taxied around to the main shopping areas in the district, around 10 - 20 mins ride depending on location. There are numerous eateries located in and around 10 minutes walk from the property. Depending on preference of guests, the location could be ideal or otherwise.

United Stateshonestly the staff seemed pretty perfunctory and not uber eager to help or welcome. We were initially excited about the prospect of the different types of suites as we had booked three rooms, but ended up all having the same room. Bathrooms need a bit of facelift. We attempted to make reservations for breakfast on arrival and were told they were fully booked for three days. When we asked for restaurant recommendations, we were basically told to just look on the street (which we did and it worked out fine, it was not super helpful advice). While the cleanliness and location were overall sufficient, the property is overpriced for what they offer.
This is a nice little boutique style hotel in Gangnam. Easy to access the metro and buslines from Nambu station. Rooms were adequate. We had requested rooms near each other as we were travelling as a family, but were all on a separate floors. USB ports in the room did not work. My youngest child and I had bites after sleeping in the bed - but we were the only ones out of our group of 6.

IsraelThe room did not have much natural light as the window was too closely facing the next building's wall and not any outside view. This is just a minor disadvantage as the weather in Seoul was hot, cloudy, rainy and windy for any sunshine or air to come in from the window anyway.
The room was very spacious and kept very clean during my whole stay. The location was very good and close to the attractions I came for. The staff was extremely helpful and catered to my needs at all times.

SingaporeThe bathroom is slippery when wet.
The location is just a stone throw from the subway. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the area, together with some minimarts and pharmacy etc. The hotel is very "boutique" and we loved it. The room is comfortable and quiet. The small details make the room fun to come back to. The staff tried their best to communicate and help. Overall a very lovely stay.

SingaporeThere is not a proper place to store our luggage when we arrived too early for check in. We were told to just leave our luggage at one corner of the lobby.
The location is close to Nambu bus station. We had to catch an intercity bus from there.

United StatesAdditional communication is needed concerning the very high quality breakfast option. This is a very positive feature and some guests miss it because it is not adequately communicated. This can be easily fixed.
The central Gangnam location is surrounded with interesting shopping and varied restaurants. Several high quality cultural venues are within a comfortable walking distance. Seoul National University of Education is very close as is the metro station. The breakfast is certainly a "do it" feature.

United KingdomThe hotel did not have the European style fire evacuation instructions on the back of the room door, but there were fire extinguishers well placed. Escape routes were lit with the usual green signs, and each room had an evacuation automatic belay system which would unnerve all but the most seasoned climber. There was an alternative exit to the single lift in the stairwell located, but not directed to, in the service area on each floor.
A reasonably priced central Seoul hotel with no frills providing a perfect setting to crash out at the end of a busy day. Apart from the usual light refreshments available in the room, coffee tea and bottled water, and a limited breakfast dining room (which needed to be pre-booked) which we didn't use, there was nothing else. Just the bedroom.

United StatesUnique design! Many aspects of the design were impractical. For example, we had a glass room within the room (a small enclosure with glass walls) that served no purpose, but no place to put our clothes, so we had suitcases on the floor.

ChinaThe bathroom design is too dangerous ⚠️ Because the bathroom is hollowed out downward, it needs to take two steps of stairs, and the bathroom is very slippery when it comes to water. So it is very easy to slip and fall down the stairs. Even if you are very careful, I broke my arm while taking a bath and kept bleeding 🩸 If I fell on my head, the consequences would be unimaginable! It was a very bad hotel experience for me.
