Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation was slightly far out (just in the Medina) but we are good with long walks so didn’t mind too much.
Breakfast was filling with a good range of classic breakfast items like bread, cake, omlette, yogurt and fruits etc Very pretty property, so stunning and clean with very friendly and helpful staff. Smelt nice and could hear the birds, relaxing after a hectic day. Near the outside of the Medina, so more of a walk in the evening to get dinner. The nearest restaurants were around a 15 minute walk into the Medina, which was fine because we had walked the same way during the day as it’s the main route into the centre, so half knew where we were going and occasionally glanced at google maps to check we were correct. We (male and female for context) didn’t really get any bother in the late evenings everyone was minding their own business, other then a guy shouting madam a lot but just ignored him and kept walking. Overall if you don’t mind a bit of a further walk into the Medina (there is taxis you can get a few mins walk from the Riad but we were on a budget) then I’d recommend and it’s a beautiful riad for the price.

United KingdomIt was a bit scary walking home at night time at first! However, we quickly got used to it and became more confident quite quickly. Google Maps is a must!
A beautiful Riad in the Medina. It was about 15-20 minutes walk to the main square. Staff were very friendly and so helpful. The courtyard and pool were our favourite place to relax. Everything is very clean and the gardens are beautiful.

United KingdomProbably just the neighborhood.
The Riad is beautiful. All the staffs were very accommodating and friendly. They welcomed us with smile on their face. I felt at home the moment me and my husband arrived at the Riad. The breakfast was very nice as well. Jamal was very good and helped us with stuffs like printing our boarding passes. Oh, and the towels smelled heavenly! I wonder what fabric conditioner they used so I can also buy the same 😅. They have arranged our airport transfers and we had a smooth travel. If we come back in Marrakech sometime in the future we will definitely come back to Riad Charai.

NetherlandsI had booked a non refundable three day stay through booking.com from 25th to the 28th, and I asked the hotel if possible to split my stay 25-27th and 29th-1st. I did not get a response for 5 days, and I found this lack of response from management really non-acceptable for a 4-star hotel. I was very open to a no, I just wanted to know. On top of this, even though I only stayed 2 nights at the hotel, I was asked to pay the city tax for 3 days. It's not about the money, but this type of behavior stopped me from going back to the riad for a second time, although I really liked the riad itself.
I liked the Riad a lot. It was in a good location, about a 25 min walk from the center of Marrakesch, and after being out in the city where it was very noisy and intense in ways, coming back to the Riad was a blessing. The Riad felt very relaxing, nice, and cozy. I loved the breakfast place with the fireplace. It was very relaxing. The staff there was very nice.

United StatesWhile the riad is located in the medina, it’s about a 30 minute walk to the main square.
The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. We needed quite a bit of support with transportation and bookings, and the staff went above and beyond to be helpful. The facility is beautiful and very clean. Watching the sunset from the Terrace was a highlight!
