Located in Charleville, Warrego Motel features barbecue facilities. Featuring a garden, the 3-star motel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The (new) owners could not have been more helpful or friendly. For instance, they gave me lifts to and from the Cosmos Centre & RFDS centre, because I had arrived by train and it would have been very hot to walk there. But, if you are travelling by train, a bonus is that it's less than a minute from the station! And just a few minutes walk from the rest of the town itself. They were also very flexible about check-in and -out times, which I appreciated.

Charleville Bush Cottage is a holiday home set in Charleville. With garden views, this accommodation offers a patio. The hosts were exceptional and gave the priority on check in for a quick process. Very peaceful and relaxing. Close enough to all activities and events but far enough not to hear traffic. I will definitely go back
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Tourist facilities and attractions excellent. We travelled on the train from Brisbane staying 2 nights in Charleville before taking the return trip. Loved the train trip but you do need to hire a car to get around town-Tony from Hertz was so accommodating. Loved the WW11 Tag-Along tour-Luke made the tour so interesting.
We only stayed one night but could have found plenty to occupy a longer stay and will definitely be back. We visited the Cosmos Centre for the night tour. Guides were so helpful and informative and telescopes were excellent for viewing the stars and full moon. Well worth a visit. Also visited the information centre for information on our next trip and staff were extremely helpful.
We only stayed one night in Charleville. We traveled onwards further north; could top up some groceries from the local IGA shop. We also enjoyed the local RSL Club for a drink and a meal and can highly recommend it!
I was returning for a visit to where I was born & lived. I would recommend going to see the Bilbies, Cosmos Centre, Historic House Museum & the Flying Doctors centre. You can also do the river walk. Very easy to walk everywhere if you want. The best place we found to eat was Bones & Nikki's Turckerbox, The best hamburgers & the prices are great. Just take your time to look around. I found a great please to shop which is the Made in Murweh. Just support the locals the best you can while you are there

We were only passing through on a road trip, so arrived late in the afternoon and left early the next day. It was a Saturday afternoon so all the shops were closed, but we drove around town to check it out. Went down to Graham Andrews Park to sit on the Big Red Bench Chair and walked around the park also saw the Vortex Rain Urn. For dinner we went to the RSL very nice and our meal was perfect. Went over to the information centre (Charleville Railway Station) and the staff there were very bubbly, friendly and helpful. Plus you can get a free coffee while there. Checked out the water tower art work
