Located in Port Ellen, No. 1 Charlotte Street has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. Everything.. the hotel, the service, the breakfast, the room, the price. We loved all, everything was gorgeous.

The Trout Fly Guest House offers accommodation in the centre of Port Ellen, minutes from the ferry terminal and only 3 miles from our local airport. Exceptional! A cozy, no-frills guest house within walking distance of three world class distilleries. Our host Niall was simply amazing. He and his family are incredibly welcoming and you almost feel like you are part of the family. They will “get you sorted” with using the local buses, where to grab a bite, who to call for a taxi and whatever else you might be wondering about. Exceptional hosts. The distilleries were great but these fine people will be what we remember most fondly about our stay on Islay.

On Islay’s famous Whisky Coast, in the fishing village of Port Ellen, overlooking the harbour and marina and just 2 hours by ferry from Kennacraig on the Scottish mainland, The Islay Hotel offers a... The whole experience was great. The tour organised for us by the manager was excellent. We had an interesting insight into the history etc of Islay.

Boasting a garden, Cala Sith Guesthouse is set in Port Ellen in the Isle of Islay region, 200 metres from White Hart Beach and 2.2 km from Kilnaughton Beach. The staff were very friendly. It is literally one turn from the ferry terminal, so very easy to get to. Right next to the town and beach!

An Cuan Bed & Breakfast is situated in Bowmore. The property has sea and garden views. The accommodation features a housekeeping service and bicycle parking for guests. The room was cozy and very comfortable, with a bit of modern and designers touch. The location is great, literally close to everywhere tourist need in a short walk distance (bars, restaurants, the Bowmore distillery, local shops) and with a plenty of parking space. The homemade breakfast with a wide variety of ingredients for choice was delicious and helped to start a day in a right mood. But the real gem was a pair of lovely and very responsive hosts, Brigit & George, that were there for every need and gave very useful tips and recommendations.
