Charming and homey hotel with beautiful decoration. We were 9 people and arrived with a van, but there was plenty of space for our vehicle. All rooms were nicely decorated with spacious bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Our hosts treated us like friends and it felt really good. Thank you for your kindness.

The flat is really clean and the towels and bed linen lovely. It was nice to have some kitchen basics e.g. salt/pepper, cooking oil, tea and coffee, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid and cloth (do not always get these provided). Would definitely stay here again.

Sturdys Castle is more of a motel the reception and restaurant are part time but the times are clearly displayed. The food was good basic pub food. The surroundings were clean and well maintained and the staff very helpful and friendly. This is not a boutique luxury hotel but it serves its purpose in giving a good no frills clean accommodation. As a lone older lady I felt safe with the good door lock and recommend as a base to explore the area.JenniferSolo traveller
