Everyone tends to eat together at the large dining table which is a great way to get to know the other travelers. Some nights there are social events - pizza night, fellow travelers playing music or putting on a show. I loved everything about the atmosphere.

A very enjoyable stay and a lovely breakfast & chat with the other guests in the morning. We were even allowed to leave our luggage there for the day rather than take it with us into city centre - very kind of the host.

Location is also good, not far from the main street. Totally recommend.

With large windows overlooking the lake, rooms at Kaiken are very bright. All of them have private bathrooms. The hotel is set on a beautiful setting. The hotel is dated but clean. The room was dated but nice. It would have been nice to have seating on the balcony. The included breakfast was good. The restaurant offered good food but it lacked ambiance.
