The owner has a TukTuk and for a very fair price, he picked me up/dropped me off at the train station. On top of this, he offered different excursion options on his TukTuk for tea plantations, hikes, waterfalls, etc. The owner honestly went above and beyond, not only was he a wonderful host, but also a great driver and tour guide. What really touched my heart was when he took me to the Horton Plains National Park and ended up doing the WHOLE hike with me because he did not want me to do it alone and wanted to make sure I was safe. Their home is a very cute 100+-year-old house, with two rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and had comfy beds with warm blankets for the chilly nights. The price includes breakfast and if you have an early excursion/train time they pack you a full breakfast as well! They also offer lunch and dinner, which the wife cooks. It was honestly the best food I had on my trip to Sri Lanka especially the chicken curry and dhal curry.

Decent hot water shower. Late check in at 11.45pm and early checkout at 5.45am was handled with a smile 😊. Greatly appreciate it.

We were able to walk to dinner at the Grand hotel in about 5 mins and the view from the outdoor seating area was excellent!

The accommodation features private check-in and check-out and a tour desk for guests. The Waterside residence is perfectly placed to go to Adam's Peak, the room was lovely and the beds were very comfortable! The hosts has been adorable, we arrived pretty late in the night due to traffic issues and they still served us something to eat which was very good. We had a perfect stay!
