I had many plans in Haputale, but I ended up spending most of my time enjoying the view from my bed or balcony. You can watch the sunrise over the mountains and tea fields right from bed. It is probably the best view I ever had from a hotel. I would love to come back just to take it all in. The location is also convenient to get to many different tea farms and Lipton’s Seat, if you do decide to leave your hotel room. Haputale is much less touristy than Ella, but you can still find lots to do. Other reviews mentioned no hot water, but this was not an issue for me. There is a switch outside the bathroom to turn on the water heater. After a few minutes waiting for the water to heat up, I had a nice hot 20 minute shower and never had any issues. The staff are very kind and willing to offer advice and help with booking tuk tuks, etc. Meals were simple but good and affordable. I also recommend walking down through the tea fields to the Olive Tea Center for tasty ice cream and other baked goodies. Really good and very affordable!

Little Adam's Peak is 3.4 km from the bed and breakfast, while Ella Rock is 4.4 km away. The nearest airport is Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, 85 km from Minthu Homestay. Amazing stay. This guest house was the best I did in Sri Lanka. Very quiet and the bed is very comfy

A car rental service is available at the bed and breakfast. Beautiful stay! Hotel is a perfect place to stay in Ella. It is close to the center and the railway station. The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean with incredibly beautiful view and fresh air. That impressed me the most. Breakfast was excellent and healthy. The hotel owner has always been friendly, patient and helpful. We appreciate his for advices to plan our trip. No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to them with all your concerns. We really recommend this place.

For anyone who wants a jungle experience a little bit out of the regular tourist are :) definitely to recommend!

With mountain views, this accommodation features a balcony. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. This property have a fantastic view. The room is spacious with a modern touch. It also have a A/C, hot water and good WiFi. Price is super reasonable with all the perks. The owners is super friendly, honest, helpful and generous with breakfast and coffee/Tea. His family and the staff is just awesome. His mother taught us how to cook Sri Lanka food and fed us for free. This by far became one of our favorite accommodations. We even became friends with the owner. Book here, you won’t regret!
