The place is adorable! Maria the owner gave us a warm welcome, set with us to explain every thing about the city and made us feel at home! the place is beautiful with a spectacular view over the city and fortress! the location is great close to the center and the fortress. the breakfast was good and we enjoyed it looking at the city :) The room was a part of a shared apartment and we had our private bathroom and shower, but you feel like you're visiting a family so you don't mind that it's shared :) Very important - it's a bit difficult to get there with GPS, I would recommend to get close to the place (about 300m) and than look at the place on Google Maps and try to get to the point just from looking at the map and not using the navigation, because it'll take you through small and slippery roads. Overall we had a great time over there! Thank you Maria!

The rooms were clean, and really cosy, but I think the stars of the show were the family at the guest house! They made us feel super welcome. They were really accommodating by looking after our bags while we explored Gijrokastër a little bit longer. And helped us sort the bus out. Just super kind! The girl who was a part of the family helped translate everything her mother was saying to us and also helped us with planning our days, which we appreciated especially as we had no idea where to start/go. The breakfast was delicious and traditional to Albanian cuisine. Plus they have cats and three little cute turtles. 😄🐢😻

The villas is maintained by 2 brothers, we only saw one of them on our overnight stay. It was an easy walk to the Bazzaar, with plenty of bars and restaurants very near.
