The Orion was very easy to find as you entered the village. Was was near a bar/cafe that was open for snack type foods. The rooms were very clean. I went out for a large lunch before the restaurants closed, so I didn't have dinner there, but I heard from some of the others it was delicious. The breakfast there was well worth the nominal cost with cereal, milk bread/toast jams and jellies, coffee and orange juice. They started it early enough so you could still get a great start on the walking for that new day.

Lovely house, nice room, modern bathroom. The owner very friendly, he has transformed a centuries-old dilapidated house into a charming rural hotel with good taste! We had a delicious menu for a modest price and a hearty breakfast. Take your time for visiting the ancient village with its interesting shape , amazing churches, ruins of fortress on top of the hill.

We arrived by bike, so security for them was well taken care of. The owner and his wife were extremely kind and helpful in sorting out our onward journey. Castrojeriz is a delightful, ancient village - lots of charm and a warm welcome for visitors. Can thoroughly recommend the "One hundred Leagues" if you, like us, are following the Camino de Santiago. Well worth a stop.
