Spotless clean room and bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Calm quiet and beautifully green surroundings. The bistro was very warm and cozy and we had the best fish and chips over there. We would highly recommend this place and would certainly love to go back maybe to stay in one of their caravans the next time.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially the breakfast team. They were able to book me in for dinner even though the restaurant was very busy. The food was amazing at the restaurant and they had some nice ales in the bar. Any noise that you hear from outside the bar stops promptly when it closes at 10pm. It was just a very pleasant stay, made so much better by all of the staff , I interacted with 5 of the team across my 2 night stay and they were all really friendly and hospitable. In the room, I really appreciated the French press and enough ground coffee for me to make plenty of coffee across my stay! I was able to walk down to the sea (less than 5 mins) each morning for a swim before breakfast. As a solo traveller the room size worked for me, it is small but that cannot be changed! They are well laid out and have everything you need and are very modern, clearly re-decorated recently.

The Bay Lodge was a wonderful experience on many levels! From the greeting by Clare the uber friendly owner who directed me to my really nice single room with a balcony and answered any and all questions that I had. The balcony was a nice touch even in January where I had a nice view of St. Michael's Mount. Bay lodge is very conveniently located, about a ten minute walk from the train station and town. The breakfast cooked up by Kevin was delicious and very filling. Clare was great to talk to about goings on in Penzance and the surrounding area; she even gave me a "Clare" map with suggestions of places to go. Clare and Kevin could not be more accommodating. I've stayed at a number of B&B's, but I must say The Bay Lodge is now my favorite.

Great location. Easy to find and near to lots. Tony definitely knows what's needed for a restful night's stay and a delightful stopover. And Jeremy's art enhances the décor which is minimal, yet perfectly comfortable. We wish we could have taken it all home! We would definitely stay here again. Warm, caring and welcoming hosts.

We also enjoyed taking a relaxing walk in the church memorial park next door before dinner. My two friends and I shared a bedroom and there were three comfortable beds in our room, one double and two twins. The bathroom was beautifully renovated and the shower was superb. We loved the proximity to Mousehole, a charming village on the seafront that we visited the next day.
