This is a very travellers friendly hotel. It's right by the lake and has a lovely green garden full of palm trees and other greenery. Hammocks between the trees and also a canoe. All the rooms have a private terrace with table and chairs. Large and spotless clean room with an excellent bathroom. Friendly English speaking staff. Excellent WiFi, coffee and tea sold by the pot, and cold ones in the fridge. Can't get much better than that. They arrange tours to Monroe Island as well. The hotel is far from town, but you can get there with a local bus for just 10 RP, either from the main road just up from the bus station, or from the school junction where you can jump off your incoming bus if you are coming from the north. Best place to stay as the town centre has completely lost all its travellers atmosphere.

The property is a gem and a bit quirky, which suited us well. The rooftop bar was a nice surprise but the in house elevator was the icing on the cake. The rooms were furnished luxuriously. Our family had a wonderful time by the pool and garden

The best place for a family vacation! Communication is key, and Mr. Murali addressed all our queries even before our visit. They arranged fishing, boating, and Ayurvedic massages for us, and we really enjoyed the homemade food. The property is located right by the backwater, surrounded by lots of trees on the other side, allowing us to fully enjoy nature. Kids will love it—my son spent all his time fishing with the kit Mr. Murali provided. He is the best host we've met in all our travels. We also can't forget the caretaker, Mary, who was always there to prepare whatever we needed!

Wonderful location, on a par with Ashtamudi Villas also under the same ownership, but very different. This looked over the open lake, with an extensive lawn, whereas that was full of shady trees. Staff were excellent in both places, and produced excellent breakfasts.

I had such a lovely time at the homestay! The accommodation itself is of a high standard. The provided food was all incredible ! (Lunch portions are massive) I was able to do a sunrise boat trip, was shown around the island and also did kayaking on Munroe Island. As other reviews mention it is literally an island that is only reachable by boat so just be mindful of any amenities you may need to buy beforehand. You can always ask to be taken to Munroe Island otherwise. The host is very hospitable and honestly it was so nice to have downtime.

While booking they accept your special request for arrival and departure, but after your arrival to the property they will demand you more money for little bit early arrival and late departure. In advance they will take full amount of our stay period. Rooms are not cleaned full of with big size ants. No bed sheets and pillow cover provided. No lock for rest room. So many problems. Not recommend.
