Free WiFi is available throughout the property and 18th Century Swahili House Museum is 100 metres away. The house is a beautiful gem within old lamu town. The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

The property was built in 19th century, and has accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The holiday home features an indoor pool and a shared kitchen. Alexandra and Zion were just amazing. You can see the passion of Alexandra about Lamu and about this historical building! It is perfect for a big group, and it's also amazing to work from there. I liked everything of the place, so relaxing and such a relaxed atmosphere!

With city views, this accommodation provides a patio. Each room is equipped with a balcony with views of the pool. It was a lovely old building, well decorated to a high standard and with lots of character. It was within easy reach of the harbour (and boats) to explore Lamu. The staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable - we requested champagne on arrival for our Honeymooning guests, and a birthday cake later on - and these were no problem for Safari and the team.

The hotel was very clean and all the amenities were just as described The room was very spacious, the air condition and fan made it very comfortable. Jivanji was very hospitable and all the staff were very polite. Breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the ocean. A good variety of Swahili goodies.
