The tents are built on raised wooden decks and offer views of the palm tree garden. They also come with private bathrooms with a shower. We highly highly recommend the lodge. It makes an immediate impression as you come in - everything is very thought through and you notice tiny details everywhere: the decoration, the good vibes, pleasant music, the staff as well as the other tourists are friendly and down to earth. Julien personally welcomed us and gave us a tour of the premises. Food is exceptional (very fresh, plenty of vegetables and fruit which we really appreciated, some local Mauritian dishes) and so is the staff! A range of activities is available from hikes to free boat shuttles to the nearby island. The booklet provided was very informative (with recommendations for restaurants, attractions, etc.) - we wished we had that info at the beginning of our Mauritius trip. Unfortunately my partner had a medical emergency on our last day. The staff and Julien, the hotel owner, organised everything necessary and rushed him to the hospital in his vehicle. Having a health issue in a foreign country was stressful, but they supported us so much and made everything work. We're now back home in good health. We hope to be able to come back some time soon!

Blue Ocean Suites and apartments is a set of 6 suites and apartments situated right on the beach of Trou d’Eau Douce. the property sits in front of a private white sandy beach overlooking one of the most beautiful lagoon of Mauritius. I loved the house: from the view to the furniture, it’s all cured in detail and the pictures are exactly like reality. You’re really waking up with the ocean in front of you. You can have breakfast on the terrace and dinner too, it’s never too windy. The house is equipped with all the commodities including towels to use on the beach, shower gel, conditioner; oil, vinegar, pans and all sort of tools to cook. A special note for the amazing hospitality of Sabrina. She waited for us until late in the evening and arranged an amazing boat trip (which I highly recommend… it’s 90$ per person all day on a boat with lunch on an island included, a real bargain). The house was cleaned almost daily and you could ask anything to the cleaners who were there every morning.

The house is located in a new neighborhood just a few minutes drive from the beach. Nice and quiet area which felt very safe. The house is big and airy, decorated with nice new furniture (very comfortable sofa) and everything you need if you feel like cooking. AC in the bedrooms for a good night’s sleep. Secure parking. The lovely Mehzabine met us when we arrived to give us the keys and to show us around and we also met Vikram the owner. The pool is not very big but everything you need to dip and stay cool.

We enjoyed the stay here in the East and got to explore the local beaches and eateries. I would recommend this stay to anyone.
