The beds were so comfortable! The modern cottage was unique. The pool was clean and beautiful. The complimentary breakfast buffet was superb.

Lovely place, very well decorated! Great work of renovation so that the hotel keeps authentic character while gaining comfort. The hotel personnel is very sweet and helpful. The breakfast is absolutely great with home made, local products and fresh fruits!

The property is a 15-minute drive from the scenic Paiva Walkways, which provide unique views over the surrounding area's natural richness. The owners could not have been kinder. The lady had my heart as you can tell she loves her property and her garden. This property was like a hidden oasis. It was perfect in every way with an exceptional shower and lots of hot water! We would love to visit again sometime!

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the farm stay's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. Nuno is an outstanding host. He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.

Quinta de Travassinhos is a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and get away from the world. The room was lovely, a huge shower, clean + incredibly comfortable beds. The pool area is stunning with an amazing view. The staff could not have been kinder, more helpful or made our stay any better. Nothing was too much trouble, they provided a delicious three course dinner for 30 euros and went out of their way to book things for us. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them and we could not recommend this place more.
