The campground has family rooms. First ask yourself what is the reason you want to be here - if you are here for the nature alone, Nilantha is the best person you can stay with and who you SHOULD take as a guide with you to the safari. He has a degree in biology , fluent English and knows so much about the local fauna and flora so a full day safari doesn’t get boring (which I can imagine can if you only take a driver with you). He is a true believer in ecotourism and is giving back to local communities. If you are here for a fancy dinner and facilities, go somewhere else. This is a simple stay in the jungle. And one more thing to add - your guide is not responsible for how many animals you’ll see BUT we were lucky and he for sure knows some spots where they MIGHT appear. And last but not least- Nilantha is a great and nice person we had a chance to meet :)

The daily breakfast offers buffet, American or Asian options. This was our favourite place to stay so far in terms of an authentic taste of Sri Lanka. The host was the friendliest man! They cooked us the tastiest food we have eaten here so far: beautiful fresh fish curry and potato curry, and they sang and played the drum whilst we ate dinner. He also led us on a walk of the local area and showed us a watermelon farm. it’s also very close to the National park entrance. we booked safari through Yala Wild House and we had a fantastic driver at a reasonable rate. He made sure we saw the best of the animals and surroundings. We highly recommend

It seems like we are in the forest when we lived in leopard camp.monkeys jump on the trees,the peacock calls from time to time,butterfly always flying around us.it's like a fairtale world. Staffs are all hospitable and helpful,thinking ahead of us. The bed is dry and comfortable. It has to be appreciated the safari.That is a amazing trip.guided actually professional,we recognized many birds,saw the leopard as we wished. All in all,the leopard camp is valuable camp in Yala.

There is a seating and a dining area in all units. Kulu Safaris is a completely exceptional place to stay in every way and it was the highlight of our holiday in Sri Lanka. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Our guide, Jeana, was very knowledgeable about Sri Lankan wildlife and a lovely person, we learnt a lot from talking to her on our safaris. We also went kayaking on the lake which was beautiful. The tents are so comfortable to stay in and it's a very peaceful location, surrounded by nature. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and we were served our meals in different locations around the site, which was beautiful and very romantic. It is expensive, but the safari and other activities is included, as well as all food and drink, and so I think it is definitely worth the money, particularly as Kulu is very eco-conscious and ensures minimal disruption to the wildlife. Overall, I couldn't recommend staying at Kulu more highly, and I hope to go back one day.

Family tents are provided based on requirement. All tents are fitted with comfortable beds, mattresses and pillows. Free drinking water will be provided. All bathrooms are equipped with a Hot & Cold shower. This was such an amazing experience. The we had a lovely dinner at the campfire, a good night in the tent (clean tent) and an amazing morning Safari with a unforgettable view at breakfast. Avkina and all the staff where lovely, great hospitality. Avkina guided us with the night walk and the morning Safari. Higly recommend to accompany a guide with the Safari. We spotted many animals including Leopards and an Elephant.

Rivosen Camp Yala Safari was awesome! Manjula and Buddika smile’s were very contagious, always making sure we had everything we needed. They have few meal package options, and I highly recommend selecting one, because Buddika cooked multiple Sri Lankan dishes (vegetarian options available) for us and each of them were absolutely delicious. The camp is situated at the border of Yala National Park, therefore during our stay, we saw different wildlife crossing the campground. The location was also very convenient as it is only 15 minutes from the entrance gate of the park. Manjula kindly helped us to organize a Safari tour for the following morning. During our fresh up shower, we had many eyes watching us, as cute frogs and friendly geckos were co-habituating the bathroom. The bed was very comfy and the hotel-like linen were as white as we ever seen in Sri Lanka so far. This place was the perfect little nature retreat, and we loved everything about it. We were spoiled with delicious food, kindness from the owners and an amazing wildlife experience. Manjula and Buddika will do everything to make you happy.
