He was an absolute joy to speak to. The rooms were spotless and had a very sleek and modern but also timeless design. We stayed in the triple room with a double and bunk bed. It had a small fridge and enough space. The bathrooms are also very clean and there are enough that it is not crowded. The lounge is cosy and has all you need to cook and you can get ramen or drinks here for 100 - 200 yen. There are tons of free ammenities like coffee, tea, shampoo and body wash and you can even do your laundry for free. For the very low price we paid, this is arguably the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Highly recommended, if I ever come back to Kyoto I am staying here again, no doubt about it.

I barely had to take the subway all the time I was there as you can easily walk to a lot of wonderful places. The capsules are actually spacious and very comfortable. The amenities are great and the Onsen / communal showers areas is great. Please note users bathe naked in the Onsen as it is tradition. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, curry and soup. For coffee drinkers, your best bet is the machine on the 2nd floor although I found it weak.
