The local pub is just a 2 mile walk which we loved and Ullswater Lake is under 20 minute drive away. I don't know who enjoyed it more, us or the dogs! When we arrived there was a Happy birthday Banner up for my partner as well as a bottle of prosecco in the fridge, thank you so much to the host for this, it was a lovely gesture. We had a lovely break away and cannot recommend this place enough.

A bottle of Prosecco was left in the fridge for us which was a lovely touch. The views were gorgeous and we had everything we needed within the hut for a couple of nights stay.

The bed was super comfy with plenty of storage underneath and it was decorated beautifully. The outside space was generous and great for our dog to run around. You didn't feel close to the other hut at all so it was super private.

The Shepherds hut had everything we needed and the hot tub was great (it does take a few hours to heat up but lovely once it’s ready!) It was my partners birthday and there was a little sign up and a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate which was a lovely touch. Unfortunately we couldn’t get into any of the local pubs for food but we did go to a pub a 20 minute drive away in Mungrisdale called Mill Inn, which was a really nice traditional country pub.JJasmineYoung couple

Had a treat for the dog when we got there, such a lovely touch. Plenty of board games etc and a big file of nearby places to eat and things to do. We will defiantly be back, hopefully for longer than two nights next time! Thank you so much - we loved it! :)
