One of the best places we’ve stayed in our 6 months of travelling! - The location of the hotel is remote, but very tranquil and beautiful. We loved the silence and the mesmerizing landscape. - The rooms are spacious and very clean! We felt incredibly comfortable and also enjoyed the big outdoor bathroom. The shower pressure was excellent, which is quite rare in Asia, and the water was hot. - The pool is beautiful, with a good temperature, and is cleaned very often. - Lastly, the man who was the only staff member on the ground when we visited, was so kind and welcoming. He cooked amazing food for us and always met us with a smile. We really enjoyed your company! All in all, our stay was an unforgettable experience and I’d recommend it to anyone who’s considering. Thank you!

A night in a tree house was exceptional! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Walking distance to Pidurangala rock. Offered a night walk to view the Loris. Restaurant was lovely and food was fresh and delicious.

Incredibly kind family owners-I arrived super early having cycled there, they served me a delicious breakfast and got my room ready ASAP. Location is fab-you can enter Sigiriya rock via a back entrance (but it might be worth getting your entry ticket on your way to hotel as its a bit of a walk to the ticket office (inside the museum) once you are at the hotel. Easy walk into town/ restaurants. Room is basic but super clean,mini fridge, kettle provided and outdoor seating. All set in lovely garden.

A great secluded bungalow located close to Sigiriya Rock and an easy walk to the main road with restaurants. The view over the rice paddy was picturesque and there is also a nearby lake with good viewpoints. The owner was super friendly and helped us make the most of our stay, even with continuous rain for the 3 days we stayed. Recommend the elephant safari if you have time. Breakfast was also delicious!

This place is a hidden gem! Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and remained cool without air-con even in 37°C heat outside. The location is very peaceful, it's only a short drive from the main road but you are really immersed in the sounds of nature. The garden is a lovely spot to spend some time relaxing in a hammock watching the wildlife passing through, which includes many different bird and reptile species and if you're very lucky, even the occasional elephant! The owner is a lovely chap, and did his best to make sure we felt at home. He runs the place by himself and does a fantastic job, he cooked us a great Sri Lankan breakfast after taking us to Pidurangala rock for sunrise and he also offers cooking classes using a traditional wood fired stove and clay pots which we unfortunately didn't have time for. He clearly takes pride in and puts a lot of time into maintaining and improving his homestay. We definitely recommend Ali Adi eco lodge as an affordable and relaxing base to explore Sigiriya :)

Location is not super close to restaurants but easy to reach by tuktuk. The rooms are individual wooden cabins which gives sense of privacy. It was nice to spend time in the pool after hiking and the breakfast was delicious! They also helped us with getting the transfer and bus to Kandy.
