We did the Leopard trail in the Blyder River Canyon with Wendel, our host, who is a great guide and who told us about the trees on the trail and showed us scarvations from the Iron age. It was very interesting. We also did a trip with Wendel to Marieskop, the tallest Mountain in the Canyon, where we had a view of The Tree Rondavels from a different perspective. A hidden gem in the Blyder River Canyon! A great experience. So if you look for something special to do in this area, dont hesitate to contact Wendel, who cany make all arangements, so you get a great experiene that goes beyond your expectations. Tanks for that.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Very lovely accommodation into the forest of Graskop, very friendly staff and owners! Also great value for money, as we got a whole chalet with living room, kitchen, bathroom and sleeping room plus veranda for our own. Moreover, very nice to have a chilled evening at the fireplace in the living place.

The property is in need of a major upgrade. The bed is old and uncomfortable. The bedside cabinet is broken. The tiles in the shower is loose and can cause cutting of the skin.

The place is insanely beautiful, looks like heaven. Well-kept and clean. The cabin is very clean, spacious, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, the bed is very large. The fireplace adds to the perfect atmosphere and the cabin is next to a fish pond. host answered every question patiently and was friendly and caring. There is a nice walking trail in the forest. In conclusion, staying at the place is highly recommended, and we would return there again and again

Short drive from town surrounded by indigenous forest. We liked the German style breakfast, very quiet nights, and the atmosphere of the wooden cabins. What other establishment can learn from this, is the abundance of SA “two point” (European style plugs) which most SA cell phone and camera chargers require. Small things like this help to make a holiday without worries!

The wooden cabin was extremely clean and cozy with the fireplace adding a nice touch, especially in the cold weather. Rainer and Wallie were super friendly and helpful. The little dam and walking trail give the place extra character. The farm felt secure and it is extremely well kept. Great value for money, 10/10 would recommend.
