Brand new mother daughter ski duo had amazing success with SkiBig3 Banff Adventure Hub gear rental and private ski instructor. Skied 3 days. Also enjoyed dogsledding in Canmore! Totally exceeded our expectations! Shops were variety of price points and restaurants offered a variety of options. Every turn of your drive was breathtaking! My teen stayed off of social media and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery during our drives! Everyone was extremely courteous and friendly in this town!

It is an absolutely charming town nestled in a most beautiful natural environment. The people were all very warm, kind, and helpful, although interestingly, they all (but one person I met) seemed to be from the UK, New Zealand, or Australia. But the accents were great, and so were the people. Next vacation... Australia! Back to Banff... a great getaway whether for skiing in the winter or simply unwinding, reflecting, and pondering the next steps, or getting your dream girl to say "yes" to the ring.

Banff and the surroundings are very picturesque and the towering Rockies add to the grandeur of the place. The ride in the Gondolas and the walk in the snow at the top is something no visitor must miss. Lake Minnewanka in all it's frozen splendour with the cabins in it's midst is spectacular when the sun comes up. Lake Louise - a few Kms away - is also something to behold. All in all a fabulous place to spend a few days.

There was a severe lack of snow this year (an el Niño year) which interfered with some of our planned outdoor activities, and meant we had to drive to Lake Louise for decent snow. We largely avoided downtown Banff because of the large number visitors and tourist shops. Parks staff at the information centre were very helpful.

Where do I start?!
Fabulous hotel beautifully located in downtown Banff.
Spent 3 glorious days making the most of the hiking trails from the hotel, then enjoyed sloshing around in the hot pools to ease post hiking muscles.
The bar is a great convivial spot, and although we ate in the restaurant one night the best places to eat are 2 minutes walk away.
The roaring fire in the lobby gave the entire property the sweet smell of woodsmoke.
We honestly loved our stay and would highly recommend.
The short 15 minute walk from downtown Banff and all its amenities was a major plus, and the main reason we chose the hotel. The attached Keg restaurant was a nice surprise! Very friendly and helpful staff, they make an effort to answer your questions, volunteer information and advice, and ensure you're aware of options and services. We didn't get a chance to use the pool/spa facilities because of our short stay and busy schedule but those looked nice as well.
When i arrived the day, it was raining.
So i felt a little bit chilling. I asked turn on heater.
That house need to turn on heat all of room but she did for us.
I appreciated for her kind.
And she gave a lot of local tip for near Banff area.
I am totally satisfied my trip during in Banff.
If you guys want to stay on unique accommodations, you should stay this accommodation.
The room decorated was so classic Canada.
You will be enjoyed.
Don’t miss it !!
The staff was friendly and helpful. Even before we departed the United States, the hotel 'concierge' swiftly and successfully booked Banff gondola tickets through Pursuit and bus transfers from/to Calgary and between Banff and Lake Louise with Brewster Express! Although the Royal Canadian Lodge was one of the hotels located furthest away from town, it was a relatively short walk there, and the shuttle stop was steps from the front door.
This is a beautiful mountain resort with a 15 minute gondola ride to the top. (They also have a shuttle in the summer). My 17 year old son and I were having a mother/son vacation before school started and this was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of summer. The hiking and views were unbelievable. The staff so friendly and welcoming. The location was great for a trip to Lake Louise or the village of Banff. Just a lovely experience.
Great location right on Banff Avenue and a short walk from shopping and restaurants. Also, the ski shuttles to Sunshine and Lake Louise stop right in front! Room (small suite) was great for two women traveling together. The kitchenette allowed us to make our own breakfasts while preparing for skiing and helped keep us on time. The locks for the basement ski lockers were complimentary.
The Dorothy Motel is a renovated motel that is very cute. I loved the shower. It is sister hotels with Banff Caribou Lodge just down the street and we were told we could share in their pool/spa facilities. We did not do that, but that would have been nice. Quiet location.
it says continental breakfast included and there are quite varieties we didn't expect. Nice to start with that for a day. Walking distance to everything. That was a nice stay at banff. Must try the pizza at three bear brewery, just opposite to the hotel.
Brewster Mountain Lodge in Banff, Alberta, is a charming hotel that perfectly blends rustic mountain ambiance with modern comforts. Its location in the heart of Banff offers easy access to shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities.
It’s was quite and beautiful mountain view of the sulphur mountain. Upper Banff hot spring is just minute away from the hotel. My family enjoyed the sauna, hot pool and indoor pool. The food in the restaurants is mouth watering.
Location is perfect for Banff town shops and restaurants, and getting to the ski resorts of Norquay and Sunshine Village. Hotel is good, though rooms are not very spacious, particularly the King doubles.
The location is great, just a couple of blocks from restaurants and shops in downtown Banff. There is also a supermarket a block from the hotel. Underground parking and ski storage are easily accessible.
The location is and hotel are great. I love the bistro and eat there regularly. The food is fantastic and the view spectacular. Best kept secret in Banff.
