Our room was great and had everything we needed. I loved the quirkiness, and steeped in history it was modernised and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff super helpful. We loved our stay and will definitely consider returning again soon.

Try the restaurant at the Mole and Badger, it may not look much at first but the food was brilliant. We wished we had, had longer to enjoy our meal! (Our commitments, no fault of the hotel) Lots of lovely looking pubs around. A great place for walking with or without dogs. Easy to get a taxi to neighbouring town Marlowe where there is lots to do both day and night.

Main complaint was the fact that restaurant was closed, one of the main reasons for our booking as food on menus looking interesting. Also the fact that we were not advised prior to visit that restaurant was in fact closed.

Very quirky boutique hotel with plenty of facilities and superb grounds. The staff were very accommodating and looked after us very well. The gardens were really pretty and and well laid out with the swimming pool being a bonus. Continental breakfast included which was very adequate. Rooms were very comfortable with well equipped bathroom. A short walk from two other village pubs and about half an hour walk to the rest of the village.

I booked the sanctum hotel as my partner suffers from anxiety and was completely blown away! I’ve stayed at the shard and the sunbourn yacht in London and the sanctum beats them both hands down in every way. Food was great staff went beyond and the room was amazing with a bath the size of a jacuzzi and a heated swimming pool outside. In a nutshell beautiful inside and out big grounds lovely food and staff!!

The hotel is situated in a nice area, we had booked the large double room with the large bath which was a spacious room. The lady who greeted us on arrival was very friendly, and made sure we had food and drinks which she delivered to our room (even though we had a late check-in). The food was also very nice. The room had a large TV with Netflix which we used and dressing gowns which was useful.

Beautiful hotel with interesting artwork owing to the owner's career. We had breakfast included (the full English was delicious). The japanese sharing meal was also very good which we had in the evening. Lovely bar/lounge area with comfortable seating and cosy fireplace. Jack was extremely welcoming and helpful.
