A grand building. The back of the hotel faced away from the road towards a golf course and was very quiet. Very friendly and efficient staff.

Beautiful historic pub with a lovely garden and well located. Room was lovely and comfortable and extremely clean.
Cookham Dean is a delight. Very pretty old village in a very green setting. Several pubs, including one owned by the community, very dog friendly and lots of long grass so they clearly care about the environment. Plenty of walking possible and all facilities available in Cookham.

Try the restaurant at the Mole and Badger, it may not look much at first but the food was brilliant. We wished we had, had longer to enjoy our meal! (Our commitments, no fault of the hotel)
Lots of lovely looking pubs around. A great place for walking with or without dogs.
Easy to get a taxi to neighbouring town Marlowe where there is lots to do both day and night.

Main complaint was the fact that restaurant was closed, one of the main reasons for our booking as food on menus looking interesting. Also the fact that we were not advised prior to visit that restaurant was in fact closed.

Very quirky boutique hotel with plenty of facilities and superb grounds. The staff were very accommodating and looked after us very well. The gardens were really pretty and and well laid out with the swimming pool being a bonus. Continental breakfast included which was very adequate. Rooms were very comfortable with well equipped bathroom. A short walk from two other village pubs and about half an hour walk to the rest of the village.
Staff were really friendly and helpful
Food was delicious, nice to have something different to the usual pub grub
The weather made the stay, was really nice to sit in the garden for dinner and breakfast. Was really peaceful with the sound of the water fountain and red kites soaring above.
I also liked it not being too big, so felt more personal to your usual hotel stays and facilities were quieter
Room was huge and very comfortable. The bed felt like sleeping on clouds and the 6ft bath tub was to die for.
The view from the suite over the swimming pool/garden was lovely in the morning.
The hotel wasnt far from town with resturants, pubs & bars.
Friendly staff, great room. The pool was nice and warm. Hotel is interesting with the artwork relating to the owner. Lovely bar and restaurant as well. Down the road, Marlow is a stunning village also.
Fabulous stay in this gem of a hotel. Weather made it more perfect for use of pool and outdoor facilities. Breakfast was adequate, lunch was fantastic and all staff really friendly and accommodating
lovely hotel in the middle of the countryside. Given the time of year we didn’t get to use the pool, it’s small but in a really nice setting with plenty of chairs. Bar and restaurant area really nice.
Lovely comfortable room, helpful staff who had a genuine interest in their guests. Very peaceful location. Nice to have a hotel that is not bog standard.
