I wanted a room overlooking car, with my cherished car that my husband gave me just before he passed away. This car is VERY special to me, so I keep an eye on it when 'away'. Food good too. Quiet. Lovely staff- very helpful.

Best Western The Rose & Crown Hotel, hotel in Mile End

Situated within a 14th-century coaching inn, the award-winning Best Western Rose and Crown Hotel is located just a 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of historic Colchester.

Have stayed here a few times now, and will continue to do so when working around the area. I get a good night's sleep and it's reasonably priced. Oh and a good breakfast lol 😁

The beautiful garden is the first thing that catches your eye. The property has such a welcoming vibe it's hard to describe but we all felt instantly at home, relaxed with a spot of luxury thrown in for 4 single mums needing a touch of somewhere special. I'm deeply spiritual & the gorgeous energy instantly made us all feel good.

My friend and I had a pleasant stay at The Annexe.

My friend and I had a pleasant stay at The Annexe. Although we did not get to meet the host Michelle in person she was very welcoming via our messages and extremely accommodating. Everything was easy to find as a very descriptive and informative guide was left for us which made our stay so much easier. The Annexe was a lovely and quaint home from home and I would highly recommend it.
