When I called to get the room access number I got informed I now had to download an app in order to get through the front door let alone into my room. I had very poor reception and tried saying this when I was shouted at and told if I called again the booking would be cancelled and I would t get in at all.
After finally downloading an app, which required you to enter your phone unlock code every time you use it(?!), I gained access… through the first door.
I entered my assigned room and the bed was unmade with sheets and towels on the floor. I didn’t want to call and complain as I needed somewhere to stay and had been aggressively warned already.
Eventually the ‘host’ turned up and I was able to move to a clean room which he gave me the code to. The wrong code, and then promptly left to deal with ‘other guests’. About half an hour later I was able to finally get into my room.
Accommodation is roasting hot with no airflow and very noisy.

We stayed here after dropping our son and his girlfriend off for a flight from Edinburgh Airport. The hotel is around 20-30 minutes from the airport on a main road approaching Pathead.
Plus points Very friendly staff, comfortable bed, tea & coffee making facilities, hot shower, nice beer garden & small childrens play area, decent bar prices, good value hearty evening meals. The hotel is dog friendly and welcomed our little pup.

This lodge was very well located for my purposes being close to Haddington. It was easy to find and the information provided by the openers was very accurate. The room itself was well-appointed and had nice little touches with biscuits, soft drinks, coffee and tea all being provided. The kitchenette was small but had all the key items, grill, oven, microwave. The view of the highland cattle outside wandering around was so peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great.

An interesting place - easy to get to other places. Train station easy to get to and not too far away by car - 15mins journey to Edinburgh on train. Evening meals at Longniddry In - food was excellent & good value for money.
We needed a stay close to Tranent and this location was ideal, we have not stayed in a pod before but we found this to be a very comfortable option. Nichola checked us in, provided milk, tea and coffee and made us feel very welcome. Had our morning coffee on the deck with a lovely view of the hills in the distance. We have no hesitation in recommending Jerusalem Farm Pods.
