Mohammed is the kindest host we have ever met. Everyday he came by with some of the best snacks. The entire place looks unreal as he is working in the gardens all day. He organized our safari to Kumana National Park and we had the best day. The second you arrive, you’ll feel like your at home.

Truly a wonderful place and a gem in Arugam bay! Surf & Sand felt like a home away from home for us. The room was spacious and clean, AC working well, quiet at night and the best thing was the cooking- we got a different breakfast set every day and we ordered dinner several times as well as it was delicious - best (and by far the biggest!) plate of Kottu we had in Sri Lanka. The host family helped us with everything we needed like taxi service for a great price. The location is perfect, a walking distance to the beach, restaurants cafes and shops. Thanks for everything, we had a blast and would come back in the blink of an eye!

The owner is very chill and likes to talk to the guests which we enjoyed very much. The rooms were nice and clean and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the chairs on our patio when the sun was too strong. The WiFi is also good!
