This is a small guesthouse of basic rooms on the river. It's convenient for the village, the floating restaurants and the national park.
The room is big enough with its own bathroom. The air conditioning takes a little while to cool but it coped well with the incredibly hot weather.
The guesthouse next door (Tepling) does a nice buffet breakfast for 15 ringit and has a tour desk where they can arrange everything.
Tekoma Resort Taman Negara is situated in Kuala Tahan and features a garden. There is a year-round outdoor pool and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

+ Great location. Very walkable to the river, where you can cross to Taman Negara and where the floating restaurants are.
+ Swimming pool. The fact that it was there. Because we have a child. Children love pools.
+ Breakfast buffet. The fact that it was there. One care less in the morning. The quality was not that special though.

To reach the property need to cross the river by boat and no designated parking was provided at river bank
I stayed 2 nights in Chalet no 7 and great place for kids run around. The single bed was broken where it sunk at the left side of the Head-board ( one of the leg must be broken hence cnt sleep when the bed is not same level. The cleanliness was very poor for the money paid. The housekeeping didn't use a vacuum at all.
The breakfast is acceptable but the dinner can be improved

The location was brilliant since we came and left by bus, it's right next to the bus station. If you drive there is ample parking out front.
Tea and coffee available in the room, makes for a lovely coffee to take to the table just outside the room to sip and get into gear. Absolute silence at night.

Super clean, comfy bed, good AC, complementary snacks. Also a hot/cold water dispenser, tables, and drying racks in the common areas. A quick 5 minute walk to the riverside to cross for the national park, and just a couple minutes away from several restaurants, convenience stores, and the shuttle bus stop.

The night hikes were back to back groups so with crowds and noise no chance of seeing animals. You definitely should bring your own torch as you can't see where you are stepping and there are some slippery spots. Personally wouldn't do again.
The canopy was nice albeit very narrow with only 4 allowed on it at a time. You are not allowed to stop or take photographs. Having to focus on my footing and not being able to stop and look makes it just going for a walk.
Going through the rapids and getting wet is accomplished by guide literally rocking boat.
The stop at village was the best part of trip. Fascinating how fire was started and the use of blow gun which we go to try.

Kuala Tahan is a nice little village with just a few shops and restaurants. But of course the main thing to do is to go to the national park. We choose to do a one day tour, which we really enjoyed. You cross the river and there is the entrance where you get your permit. They inform you about everything and everyone was very nice. I really recommend doing a tour because you learn a lot about nature and living in the rainforest. The canopy walk was also so beautiful! You can do some things on your own however, for most of the trails you need a guide to accompany you. There were some challenging parts about the hike. You need to be fit to hike up and down in the humid climate. But it was a very nice challenge and I would recommend it to everyone!
If you want to eat out I recommend the floating restaurants down by the river. The people are really friendly and welcoming and the food is good, for a fair price!

We stayed 3 nights and had 2 days to explore which was fine to do both some day and night walks in the jungle as well as a river trip to the small waterfall. Crossing the river to actually get to the jungle site is very easier. You just go down to one of the floating restaurants and ask them to take you across. Fees are fixed at 1 RMB per person. Your entrance permit is valid for all days so make sure to keep it with you at all times - also when doing river cruises.

Like the staff! All very nice and helpful.
Like the staff! All very nice and helpful. We also had laundry done for seven people and it came back in a day and was very clean and organized. You can book excursions right from the lodge. You can drink the water, so would have liked a large water container to fill up on our own. They left two small bottles a day, but that is not enough and we had to purchase water. Good selection at breakfast. Bathroom was always hot, as no windows, just open to the wild, so had to keep door closed at all times.

Love the jungle.
Love the jungle. Fab eco forest. 4 days would be enough as quite limited trails/walking. Small village that offered limited restaurants- 3 - and the 4 shops sell mostly the same limited stuff, so you do need to take supplies. No animals seen, they keep quiet which is fine, it’s their territory. It is quaint tho, and enjoyed my time there. Would certainly recommend a visit.
Everything was absolutely wonderful! This is the perfect guest house to use as home base for a few days of hiking and exploring Taman Negara. The balcony is big and spacious with a sitting area and a rack to dry clothes (much needed after swimming in waterfalls and getting splashed on the boat). The room is so clean and spacious with a little sitting area for breakfast coffee. We were more comfortable here than in any other guest house in our month traveling in Malaysia. 11/10 would recommend!!!
It is one of the best places in Taman Negara. You don’t need to worry about the location because Taman Negara is really small and you we get tho the river in 5 minutes.
The owner was really nice and he is a really good chef. He even took us to the river so we wouldn’t miss our boat.
The WiFi don’t work in the rooms but you get really WiFi in the lobby and it’s okay, because you are not going to be that much time in your room.
I totally recommend you to stay here
I like everything here.
The room is tidy and well orgernized with the beautiful view of the Taman Negara park and the river. There are cloth hangers inside the room, it is a simple small detail but not many hostel offer that. Drinking water, tea and coffee is free of charge.
The toilet is clean.
Location is the best in town.
The owner, Jason is kind and helful. He provide some tours with resonable price.
Naura Roomstay will be the perfect place for your stay at Taman Negara. Luka is a marvellous host and he can help you with everything you need from the organization of the excursions to the park to all the other organisational aspects of your stay. The rooms are very clean and well-organized and the breakfast is delicious. The view on the river and the jungle, just in front of of you, is a great plus!
Clean, basic but modern and well located accommodation in Kuala Tahan. 5mins walk from the jetty taking you to the Taman Negara NP. Staff is really helpful and always there for you. Breakfast is available at additional, small fee but it’s totally worth it, with a nice view of the river.
Simpel and clean room. The location is perfect to visit Taman Negara National park. You can walk to supermarkets (small), restaurants and the entrance of the park. The owners are very friendly! They offered free laundry service and they even made a pancake breakfast for the kids.
very well maintained small motel-type hotel. Very clean good sized rooms around a pleasant courtyard. Extremely nice staff. Super close to the ferry to the park, walking distance from mini markets, restaurants, etc. Good breakfast for an extra 15 r ($3.50).
Chill hostel hangout with basic amenities but great location outside the park and one of the best views in town! Free coffee/tea was a perk and seemingly the only place in town that sold beer which was a bonus! Also, Jason, who runs the hostel, is great!
The chalet has 1 queen bed plus 3 single beds big enough for the 3 of us, everything was in working order except for the TV we can't figure it out..breakfast was nice plus views of Tembeling River at the sitting area..so many activities in Taman Negara.
The location is amazing, the hiking paths are right behind the hotel and there’s access to the jungle from right there.
Food is wonderful, especially given the location. The rooms are excellent with exactly what you need.
Well located property, 5-10 minute walk to the Taman Negara jetty. Our room was basic, but it was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the tea and coffee facilities. Overall good value for money.
Right in Taman Negara, no need to take a boat before starting the jungle walks. High ceilings make the cottage feel nice and spacious. Good buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinners.
Good location, cool design inside for the dorm all open so everyone is in the same room. You shouldn’t be spending much time in the room anyway in Taman Negara
