We arrived early so nobody was there to receive us, but there was a fridge with cold drinks and snacks inside with an honesty box.
The pool was good, even though it was early in the season we still made good use of it.
The breakfast was exceptional and plenty of it!
Nelson was attentive, polite and looked after us.

Karim went above and beyond to welcome me as a guest. It was later in the evening when I arrived, and he gave me a tour of the building! He explained its history and the dream they had of restoring the Convent to its fullest extent.
Andrea welcomed me in the morning to the dining area and beautiful breakfast buffet. It was amazing.
I look forward to returning in the future to see "O Conventinho" completely restored. The workers were very kind and welcoming as well.
Alcáçovas is a small but lovely village in central Alentejo.
Alcáçovas is a small but lovely village in central Alentejo.
It has everything you need for a small trip or even a longer more relaxing stay.
There are a handful of restaurants in the village and the public swimming pool is beautiful with an amazing view over the valley.
In this part of Alentejo, we like to go to enjoy some relaxing time. We take loads of books with us and just enjoy the silence.
We do recommend having a car to hop from place to place because there are plenty of spots worth a visit (restaurants, vineyards, etc)
