Virginia and her family are lovely hosts and made both of us so very welcome.
The village is very small, tucked away in the hills, within easy reach of the main road and beaches.
It is mainly used for overnight travellers, avid cyclists and hikers alike but served both of us for the duration very well.
The two restaurants serve stunning food and three village cafes open early.
It is not to everyone's liking as it's basic - but comfortable, well maintained and clean.
We loved it for it's charm and simplicity.
The people who live here are a unique mixture or young and seniors and share an appreciation of expressive arts and musical cultures.
We will definitely come back here again.

This grand hotel sits aloft with fantastic views and charm and grace. Staff were awesome and friendly. Wonderful breakfast in the morning and we had a very fine dining experience at the restaurant at night. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel very close to the marina from where all boat tours depart. Close to the town, about 10 minute walking-distance to restaurants and shops. We walked from there to the beach and to Ponta da Piedade.
Rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the pool is so refreshing after a full day in the sun. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back.
