Very interesting historical building and lovely room. We ate in the restaurant, good food and no more than outside. Secure parking for a few cars but very tight and even more tight driving out of the centre on very very narrow streets.

Évora is a beacon of heritage in the heart of rural Portugal. Life is played out among narrow, cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings that provide welcome shade. Most buildings are decorated with blue or yellow trim, giving this laidback city a coherent feel.
Blue tiles adorn the incredible interior of the Misericórdia Church, and the Church of St John the Evangelist also features this typical Alentejo style. The most outlandish is the Church of St Francis where one chapel is created entirely from human bones and skulls.
The Gothic cathedral has a peaceful cloister and next door is Évora Museum with its collection of medieval, Islamic and Roman artefacts. In the large square in front sit remains of the Roman Temple, and Roman bath ruins lie under the town hall.
The Palace of the Dukes of Cadaval has a turret-like tower, similar to those in the city walls. One of Évora’s most impressive monuments – the 16th-century Silver Water Aqueduct – passes right through the walls and used to end in large Praça do Giraldo, the city centre’s main square. Some of its stone arches have been cleverly bricked in to create bars and restaurants.
Booking.com’s accommodation in Évora includes luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels near the train station and guest houses by the university.
My husband and I really enjoyed our brief stay in Evora.
My husband and I really enjoyed our brief stay in Evora. The historic center is very walkable overall, so it is easy to see several things in a short time. We were impressed with the Cathedral and the Chapel of Bones, but what we enjoyed the most was the lovely Jardim Público de Évora (public park and gardens). It was the end of April and Springtime has been wet this year, so everything was green and the flowers were blooming. The temperature was perfect for our visit.
We ate dinner at D'Iberica and it was delicious! The waitstaff there were very nice and recommended a delicious wine for our meal. The menu was extensive and everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked wonderful.

Evora is a one-night stay town.
Evora is a one-night stay town. The Chaple of Bones was a great place to spend Halloween. Interesting history. A walk around the Public Park with the Peacocks was a fun experience. We ate at Dona Laura Restaurant which I would highly recommend to others. The Hotel was centrally located and we walked everywhere.
The one negative comment was that Evora was the first city I visited where beggars approached you aggressively holding small children.

Terrific historic town, wonderful preservant of ancient buildings, culture and history mixed with modern life. Disappointed that the palace and private church were closed on Monday—tour book had indicated otherwise. Definitely a town with rich heritage worth visiting.

Historical, relatively quiet, you can walk around feeling relaxed. Most restaurants are a little pricy. Having just experienced an expensive but very low quality restaurant in Sintra, we didn't dare to try expensive restaurants in Evora. Hotels are mostly high quality. It is nice to spend a few days to enjoy this great town.

I would highly recommend Evora.
I would highly recommend Evora. The Roman Temple is an amazing remnant of ancient times; the Chapel of Bones is fascinating, if a bit macabre and the whole town is lovely. There are a number of beautiful churches, many of which had services on Sunday. We liked that one can walk everywhere and that there seemed to be a lot of locals around (not only tourists!). We found an excellent restaurant where we had traditional Alentejo dishes. One needs a full day here at least (preferably 2 nights).

Lovely place to visit.
Lovely place to visit. Full of history and lovely buildings. Some great places to eat too. We ate at Enoteca Cartuxa - highly recommended but booking needed. We went on a Monday and it was busy. Walked around most of the walled city but could have done with more than 24 hours to see it properly.
The hotel is in a great location in Évora, very well placed near the city main square which allows a nice flexibility when touring around town. Fresh and modern decor overall, and our room had lots of light and storage, including air conditioning and TV, extra pillows, towels and a tea kettle.
The staff was very nice and friendly, and the breakfast was simple and enjoyable. We visited during the summer, so it could have had more fruit and beverages options.
The hotel is great! Very modern, in an historical city. We loved the pool, the bar and the hotel amenities. The location was great as it was about 10 min walk to all the restaurants . It is just outside the wall that surrounds the old Evora city. Absolute great location.
We were able to park in front of the hotel for free, which was great.
We had breakfast at the hotel and it was good.
We wanted to make reservations for dinner but could not get a booking until 9:30 PM. To late for us. So, we had dinner at the Olive Italian Restaurant on site. It was a blast and the food was excellent. We ordered a pizza and had the opportunity to watch first hand how it was made. It was a blast. Kudos to the staff who were so competent, and so nice. Loved it!
The host is a wonderful man. He likes to share with his guests. We were very interested in his life story. And the history of his beautiful house. We experienced something very special, a journey in the history of Portugal. The house is located in the historical centre of Evora. We can walk to all the interesting sites. We had a lovely time. A pure delight.
Very unique property in a small, quiet, original Portuguese town. The owner of the property is very hands-on and takes a lot of pride in his hotel. The town is just a 15 minute drive to Evora and is located in a beautiful area of rolling hills and cork trees. We stayed in quite a few hotels/rentals throughout Portugal and this was my favorite.
This is a beautiful apartment with very high quality fittings no ikea to be seen here. Beautiful antique furnishings and monogrammed linen fresh flowers like being in a 5 ⭐️ hotel but an apartment. Luisa met us at the tourist bureau and gave great recommendations for our visit to Evora. The apartment is on a great location
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Because of road closures we were not able to find the property so one of the staff walked out, met us, and directed us to the parking garage.
Of all the hotels we stayed at during our visit to Portugal the Olive was by far the best...room, amenities, staff, location
Evora is a tight, Roman, ancient town and the hotel is located conveniently in the center. Driving into ancient towns is always a challenge, but with their private secure parking dropping the car for your stay is easy. The breakfast is wonderful as you sit in the courtyard overlooking the pool.
Victor is an amazing host, warm and caring, and the hotel has a perfect location in the center of Evora, is very quiet and the swimming pool is huge for a 5 rooms hotel. The rooms opened to guest in the main house are worth the trip.
If you want to go to Evora, book this hotel.
The owners were very helpful in solving all individual concerns - in fact all of them were addressed and solved. The hostel is well kept, offers breakfast, centrally located in Evora, and is a great value for money. I chose to stay here twice during my trip around Portugal
Nice and cozy hotel. The atmosphere was really good and the stuff is super friendly and helpful 😊
Hotel located in Évora, so it's a great combo if you want to chill out by the pull, but also want to explore the city
I took option with the breakfast and it was good
This was a lovely little hotel that was easy to find and drive to with parking not too far away. The room was nice and the reception people were helpful. It was well located and an easy walk to everything we wanted on our one night in Évora.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel was well positioned , within the walls and close to the centre of Evora. Hotel is really nicely decorated and the food at night was very tasty. We would really recommend this hotel.
It was the second time we stayed at Moov in Evora. The location is fantastic, about a 3-minute walk from the main square. The check-in is super fast. The hotel is clean and comfortable overall.
The location was excellent - close to all of the main sights in Evora - but very quiet as well. The room was spotless, the hotel staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was delicious.
This place is really a hidden Gem, it is very clean and quiet, the location is perfect in Evora close to Skydive Portugal...Will book again in the future...
