I`m not sure why this reads "Penso" when I am trying to write a review for Hotel Rural Alves. This was a hidden place, no way I could have found it without special tips the host forwarded when I made the reservation. It is not in a town, but nearby, so for restaurants you'll have to drive. They do have a restaurant but sometimes it is closed. The hosts went out of their way to make me comfortable, as I arrived on a hot day on a motorcycle and was exhausted...I was not going to leave again, I did not care if I starved! They organized a meal for meal anyway, despite being closed! I love them for that! The room I was in was small, but suitable. I am used to traveling alone but I think a couple might feel crowded. The hotel is not large, giving it that comfy feel, it is charmingly restored, and in a quiet location. I was so endeared to the hosts I will return again someday! There are towns nearby to visit, but this area is not for hiking or similar outdoor activities.
