Nice and different place about an hours drive from Lisbon. Had everything needed for a good stay. Nice stay and even dairy free pancakes which were a bonus due to an allergy.

We got bitten quite badly by mosquitoes. It had rained quite bad so wonder if that was a factor? The title says it 'country' so of course there are insects and the like within the vicinity.

Very peaceful location with easy access whether you want to be heading in the direction of Lisbon or Santarem/Almeirim etc. There is no traffic noise. The garden is private and the pool a perfect little oasis to decompress. We only used one bed, but the mattress was firm and sleep was easy. Bed linen crisp and fresh. There are three coffee machines, so coffee lovers are definitely catered for LOL. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans and utensils for preparing food, and plenty of space to do so. On a personal note I loved that the cooking knives were all very sharp. A dull knife is a bane of mine.

Everyone was very friendly and it was a great place to pass the new year’s eve for someone how doesn’t like crowds and the typical parties and hangs outs. The owner is very lovely, helpful and very sweet, made our stay really comfortable. The house is tiny but it’s great for 2-3 people and has all the necessary. Just no wifi, but nothing serious to affect our rating.
