I was bikepacking and booked the afternoon of the stay.
The manager arranged an excellent evening meal with a local person when I asked about restaurants (there are none)

Breakfast was served - like a 5 star Hotel - at the table by Tanya who provided an exceptional
spread with care ,attention and the highest quality! Help was always available in spite of our poor
command of Portuguese.
Our accommodation was roomy ( much better than the 12m sq. available on the River). A wonderful idea of
rebuilding a casa in the very heart of the history of Castello Rodrigo; but with the excellent comfort and cleanliness.
