Torreira is lovely - very little English spoken but locals...
Torreira is lovely - very little English spoken but locals are super helpful and friendly especially if you make an effort with Portuguese! French will also get you by. Torreira is quiet area with beautiful sand dunes and uncrowded fishing beach. Everything you would need within 5-10 min walk. Fabulous bakery close by and lots of great restaurants (especially the seafood one - need to queue to get a table!) supermarkets, chemist, post office (English spoken well here) and cafes. Can walk from one side of the spit of land to the other - 2 very different areas both equally beautiful. Would definitely return. (Taxis not easy to come by and unsure of public transport from Torreira). Sea is quite rough and swimming not often permitted except for a short stretch which is patrolled by lifeguards.Dr Dawn - 10Scored 10

Reception staff were all helpful and knowledgable about activities in the area. A pack was given to us on arrival of everything we needed to know. Plenty to see and do in the area. Pousada restaurant has a fabulous position and the food is good too. A good choice for breakfast.

They went out of their way to help us organise a boat trip in the lagoon. I sprained my ankle in the morning and made it to this hotel, they supplied me with ice and helped me carry my food to my room. Parking is right in front of the building and they have an elevator for physically challenged like me today!
