Where do I begin… Jorge is very welcoming. We are English speakers and he spoke English with us, so friendly and helpful! The room is immaculate, clean, and cool. The bed was so comfortable. Good shower. Breakfast is great. Communal areas are welcoming, clean, clean and well equipped kitchen. Jorge presented breakfast in the morning which way surpassed our expectations. We travel with bicycles and felt they were stored safely. Really exceptional!

This little cottage in Lavre was a wonderful place for us to call 'home' for a couple of nights, and we could easily have stayed longer. It is very clean and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay, as well as being nicely decorated with fabrics and artifacts from Mauritania. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other a double. The kitchen is better equipped than most of the places we have stayed, with dish cloths, tablecloth, napkins, cleaning supplies, and basic condiments all provided. They also provide two different coffee makers to cover all bases. An additional surprise was the fresh eggs and bread João and Augusta left for us. Talking to João was an additional pleasure as he was interesting and made us feel very welcome. Heaters and a roaring fireplace kept us warm in the cold evenings, but we enjoyed the sunny verandah during the day. Surrounded by sheep fields, there was always something to watch - especially during lambing season. Our dog was also happy with all the space and new smells. We self-catered, but there is a good restaurant in the town should you want it. A walk to the medieval bridge nearby is also to be recommended.

Vendas Novas is a small town midway between Lisbon and Evora. It is quiet and peaceful, full of friendly people and noted for its “bifanas” but we also ate excellent “massa da frango” and there’s a good Chinese restaurant too.
The host, sra Manuela is very responsive, kind and helpful person. The whole house and rooms are freshly renovated, very spacious and comfortable! We loved a little 'patio' garden and commun facilities too. Vendas Novas has a good connection to highways and other places/towns.
Unfortunately, we were only for one night, which was pity for such a nice, cozy and beautiful place. Strong recommendation !
I found the room very nice looking, the kitchen had all.the appliances one needed, the garden and pool were also nice . The owner was very friendly and helpful.All in all we had a very nice stat at this hotel.
My favourite was the bread /cake... pão alentejana.
