The house is very big and easily accomodated our group. It was clean. Comfortable beds and a private onsen bath. The kitchen has all utensils that you'll need. In the area are multiple reastaurants and shops. There are multiple public onsen nearby as well if you want to go there. The streets around the house are small so if you go there with a larger vehicle its a bit of a tight squeeze.

There are no bathing facilities in the home, but across the street is a traditional neighborhood house. Though this wasn't a problem for us as we soaked at two different onsens during the day. The owner was very nice.

The hosts were kind and there is a sento/onsen just in front of the house, where the hosts advise us to go at our arrival and it was very relaxing. The house is situated at about 15-20 min walk from the Beppu station, along the river in a very nice neighborhood.
