We took ski and snowboard lessons with Sam, Taki, and Kotone at Nozawa and Togari, and as it turns out Taki’s wife is a world class baker who cooked up the best breakfast buns this side of the Pacific. Thank you for making our family trip extra memorable!

The service was exceptional. As a first time skier in Japan, I had so many questions, but Liane patiently answered all of them! And while we were there, the assistance we received was outstanding, not to mention the free ride home from the fire festival which made it so much easier to visit.

Lovely open plan living spaces on ground floor, secluded location (with a temperamental baby we didn't have to be worried about crying waking neighbours), great bathroom, drying room and washing facilities, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Free local bus to the Nagasaka gondola just up the street, very helpful staff from the nearby sister lodge (assisted with free lifts to town etc). We asked for a cot and a high chair and this wasn't a problem.

And my kids loved sharing their cute mezzanine bedroom. What really made the trip for us was the incredible, warm staff.
