Not far from the centre of Edinburgh, 17 minutes by car, £18 taxi fare but it was worth it to have quite a nice sleep instead of staying in a noisy town Nice bathroom and shower. Quiet location if not a bit isolated but makes for a very peaceful sleep. It's literally across the road from the pub and big chinse restaurant where the food was excellent. WiFi works fine. It was scrupulously clean, freshly decorated, the bed was very comfortable. There were tea/coffee making facilities, bath gel, shampoo etc, hairdryer, even iron and ironing board. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. The hosts friendly and kind. A very safe environment for a solo traveller. A short walk from the main road where there are busies to and from central Edinburgh. I would go back anytime and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.CeliaSolo traveller

The decor throughout was beautiful - a mix of brass and polished wood reminiscent of grand voyages, and art nouveau. Tasteful yet practical. I would thoroughly recommend a stay. It was quiet, peaceful and luxurious. No boat rocking at all.
