Dinner was about 8 courses and seemed Michelin star quality to an amateur like me! The cabin we had with a large, private onsen was beautiful. The view of the mountain from the onsen was sublime. The accommodation was not extravagant or luxurious but authentic and comfortable. An experience we won't forget - magical.

One indoor and another outdoor) were great. Dinner in the private dining room was very good with free flow of drinks including alcohol. Would love to stay here again.

I like how quiet it is and the room is very comfortable. It was freezing cold in the outdoor onsen at night but as soon as I am in the onsen it was fine and I loved it. We walked through the cobblestone streets nearby and got some nice photos. There’s not much to do in the surroundings but allows you focus on resting.

The onsen facilities are great (don't miss the outdoor bathhouse!). We had a lovely and tranquil stay here - hidden away from the bustling cities and enjoyed hiking in the area as well.

Great dinner served in your room with breakfast in the dining room. Shuttle to local train station available. Cater for foreign visitors with larger size footwear, extra layer of mattresses on tatami floors, explanation of how to use the facilities of the ryokan via video with English subtitles on TV info channel in your room. Set in a quiet village, great place to chill in the countryside. Communicate well in basic English. All set in a delightful building.
