Loved the building and the grounds
Barrow in Furness
Built in 1871, The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel features stylish rooms with super king size beds, flat-screen TVs and designer en suite bathrooms. Rooms have been individually decorated, and many have stand-alone baths and designer fittings.
Our room was absolutely lovely, spacious, very comfy beds and a fantastic on-suite bathroom with a lovely big shower 🚿and tea and coffee making facilities and a smart tv with all the streaming services , just sign in to your own account to watch netflix or what ever but dont forget to sign out before you leave . The hotel had its own lift which was just as well cause we were on the top floor and I'm not as fit as I used to be so appreciated the lift . The hotel has a lovely bar and restaurant and the food was lovely . You can get food cheaper down the road in a weatherspoons but it's not as classy or as good in my opinion and me myself don't mind paying a little extra for quality .
