The views from the breakfast room are so good it was once listed in The Times Top 10 Most Scenic Restaurants. Breakfast was wonderful. Rooms were clean and cozy. Ample parking right behind the hotel and an easy walk to the center of town. Our room also afforded a lovely view of the lake. The front on the hotel has a lovely seating area and garden where my wife and I had an evening drink from the hotel's honesty bar (well-stocked).

With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide variety available. Dinners were faultless, we enjoyed every one. Staff were extremely helpful. It was lovely to be able to walk out of the back door of the hotel and down through the fields, past the sweet lambs, and right down to Bassenthwaite Lake and the little church.

Very central and accessible from the train station too, although it has its own private parking - a real plus. Very good breakfast, with probably the best bacon rolls (amongst many other options) that we've ever had! We will return for sure. Fully recommended.
