I highly recommend it for a weekend stay in New Plymouth. The location of the hotel is perfect. A short distance to the main attractions of New Plymouth is precious. I will stay here again.

The property is 4 hours from Auckland. Mike was a wonderful host who helped so much with planning to get around and useful tips! It was such a sanctuary in the storm with a panoramic view over to Russell and Waitangi. It was delightful to wake up to a delicious breakfast that Mike prepared. I felt very papmpered. Each day he cleaned the room and left it spotless. I highly reccommend that you stay here! Mike goes above and betond to make sure your stay goes smoothly,

Ranfurly Cottage is located in the historic township of Raetihi. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a patio and a private bathroom with free toiletries. You can enjoy garden view from the room. What wonderfull greeting from Alison and Ron and what a beautiful accommodation. Very comfy beds, each with own shower room (small but very functional). Alsion had already setup the table for breakfast the next morning, cereal, croissants, milk, juice, butter, jams ..... use of microwave, fridge, washing machine.Gas fireplace made it very cosy and our son was super happy to have the extra TV channels to watch the football world cup. Unfortunatly only stayed one night so did not see much of outside ameneties of the village but would have happilly stayed 4-5 days extra ... specially due to such a wonderfull, welcoming, helpfull couple, Alison and Ron !

My Husband and I walked along the Beach then, had a beautiful breakfast at a Cafe just 5 minute walk from our gorgeous little accommodation. Such a great place to stay. I would recommend Ohope Beach to every Traveler looking for somewhere to stay. Beautiful beach, Fabulous Cafes and Restaurants, Grocery Stores and a couple of pretty Little Boutique and Gift shops if your looking for that special little something.
