The Abbey is extraordinary and the surroundings are wonderful. The city is a whole story, full of a preserved history with great attention to detail. Very professional.
Was easy to get around, no problems. We think to plan another trip to Melk in the near future.

Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour.
Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour. We also enjoyed the old downtown and all the sites and stores. We were there during the Christmas holiday break so some stores and restaurants were closed but that did no deter us. Would like to visit in the spring and summer.

Melk is a lovely touristic town, little shops, tiny streets, spectacular monestary and views.
The area of Wachau has so much to offer and explore, I loved it and I will definitely return in a different season.

We only had to spend a Friday night in Melk but once arrived (although pretty late), we got out to take a walk. We were impressed by the tranquility of the old town's city center and had a very nice dinner at Venezzia Restaurant (if you don't have to, don't go to the bathroom there :)). We'll be back to visit the Abbey!

Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see.
Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see. The town is very pretty and a great place to wander around for an hour or two. There were some nice restaurants and bars, but many places were closed for the season (January). You can see the abbey and town in an afternoon, but there are other places in the surrounding countryside if you stay longer.

Stopped overnight at Melk to visit the Abbey and it was well worth it. Lovely old town with cobblestone streets and a great atmosphere, but the guided tour of Melk Abbey was the fantastic highlight. Saw Durnstein on the way and Schallaberg Castle on the way back to Vienna - both also well worth stopping.
Everything was great. We were originally given a code for the wrong apartment...but luckily were able to straighten out the mix up fairly quickly. Beds were comfy...and even the sofa beds were surprisingly comfy to sleep on. Communication was fantastic and they were understanding when I forgot to leave the cash payment for room tax (I was able to pay via paypal instead). Location in Melk is fantastic- central and within walking distance to most everything you want to see in Melk.
One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen in my life. This is a must stop place to stay at! The owners were very very friendly and went out of their way to make myself and my friends feel welcome. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a B&B. I travel a lot and and this is by far one of the best places I've ever stayed in. Beautiful little town with some great restaurants. I will be coming back! Do yourself a favor and book a couple of nights at this beautiful B&B.
If you are in Wachau, you must stay here!!! It is so charming and peaceful and the host is so wonderful. Her warm hospitality was so welcome after a long day of travel and the breakfast was so yummy! You can’t beat the value either. My room was perfect and clean and comfortable and I loved my stay here so much. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler and I also appreciated the easy parking on property. I can’t wait to return here again one day!!!
Great location (although it rained when I was there, so limited in seeing the city), wonderful buffet breakfast, reception staff extremely helpful as she showed me a locked bike area outside the hotel to store the bike. Room size was very good and I loved that the hotel had an elevator as I had 4 heavy bike bags to take to the room and I don't like walking up a lot of steps.
lovely room #2; great location (Main Street, 10 minute walk to the Abbey ( up stairs), 15 walk to the boat on the Danube, 7 minutes or so to the train station); decent breakfast choices; amazing restaurant (this restaurant is easily the most popular in town so reserve ahead. We had the stuffed chicken ( incredible) the goulash and the schnitzel); friendly, efficient staff.
Fantastic localization - 5 minutes walk to the Melk Stift. The center of Melk's Old Town. Excellent breakfast. Very good vines from own shop. The house ca. 400-500 years old. On some maps from ca. 1700 being exposed in the Melk Stift, the house is visible looking as it is now. Melk is a very good starting point for the whole Wachau district (bicycle, car, ship).
Old-fashioned little hotel on a good place and with great staff. We had a big room with wonderful view on Melk Monastery. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned up. The great thing (for us) is that they accommodate pets, so we could come with our dog. :-) The breakfast is served in a different place nearby, but it is rich and tasty.
I felt grateful to stay at lugerfarm, a five star host, she was caring, even sent me a card n chocolates for my birthday. The breakfast was superb, she really spoilt me, now I am looking for the high quality breakfast in Austria. Although, this place is out of Melk, but this was no a issue as you can ask for help if needed.
The location was fantastic, only a short stroll to the Altstadt and Melk Abbey
Really nice coffee for breakfast. Good selection of rolls, ham, cheese etc.
The room was small but functional and we enjoyed having a little table and chairs as well.
Definitely good value for what we paid. Would stay again....
we had the marille suite. it was very large and well equiped. the bathroom was top - also large, nice, clean, modern and it had a sauna - great ! the hotel is located on the main square of melk - very good location. the host was ok - provided valuable tips to spend our time around.
The breakfast was excellent, a varied and extensive buffet with perfect soft-boiled eggs and good fresh fruit. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, in the very heart of the charming village of Melk, just a five-minute walk to the extraordinary Abbey.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, only a short walk away from the old town center. Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms and a super tasty breakfast were offered by the nice owners. Definitely reccomended for a short stay in Melk or just if you are passing through.
Very hospitable staff and a cosy atmosphere. Good parking and great food. I enjoyed the beer too.
The hotel is right in the middle of the main pedestrian and restaurant area. I would have no hesitation recommending a stay here!
Excellent location. 10-15 minutes walk to city main train station. Abby is on the top of the hill from the hotel. Only 20 minutes walk uphill to the Abby. Very reasonable price.
Excellent and pleasent apartments, clean and very close to the old town and Stift Melk.
Whenever we will return to Melk, thiscwill be the first choice.
