The house is located in a very good spot to make it a base for trekking. The road is not that much frequented so it's easy to get some good rest during the day (listening to birds and stream running through the property) and sleep at night. The idea of roof windows converting to mini-balconies is brilliant! Especially with the starry sky above the house.
The kitchen annex and the bathroom are really well equipped. We even got to try the local March beer left for us in the fridge (THANK YOU :) ) and good coffee from capsules easily accessible in local stores.
