Terrific location and beautiful compound. Our cabin was next to Richardsons beach which had a fantastic view. Special shout out to Steffi for her excellent recommendations and assistance during our stay.

Coles Bay is just stunning and deserves more than the two nights and one day that we had. Ideally, two full days if not more. Lots of hiking, beaching, kayaking etc. Loved it. Lucky those who own a house there!

Gateway to the Freycinet.
Gateway to the Freycinet. Coles Bay is a great base for exploring the national Park. Richardson’s Beach is one of Australia’s hidden treasures. Local cafes are excellent, and it’s a short drive to local wineries and Bicheno’s irresistible Lobster Shack.
Stunning location overlooking Coles Bay with all of the cabins set in a spaced bush environment. We opted to upgrade at check in to the Coastal Pavilion as treat and while expensive was an amazing room to stay in with all walls curved timber with hidden catches on doors and your own private deck with glimpses of the water through the bush with wallabies just wandering by. Bay Restaurant was very good. Staff there were all fantastic. The Wineglass Bay boat trip will pick up from the hotel wharf which was very easy.
Hazards Hideaway is a wonderful, private piece of heaven. Absolutely stunning views from every room. The patio and garden were wonderful, with thoughtful seating options. The house itself was tastefully appointed with everything we could possibly want. Comfortable bed. Washing machine was extremely useful! I had difficulty using the oven, but help was easy to obtain by phone.
Very close to the amenities of Coles Bay and the National Park.
We'd love to have stayed longer - possibly forever!
Amazing hosts, Mark and Jen made us feeling incredibly welcome. As a craft beer fan, I loved the fact that a free beer tasting session was included in our stay, and it was great to try some REALLY local beer. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable, with a well stocked breakfast kitchen. From coffees, teas, cereals, bread, juice, yoghurt and fresh pastries each day, you couldn't ask for much more. All set within a beautiful part of the country. Can't wait to stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Freycinet Hideaway for 3 nights. The kitchen was really well equipped and stocked with plenty of plates and bowls and and cutlery. We used it to cook a few meals and it worked wonderfully well.
There were 2 comfortable leather lounges in the living room which we enjoyed sitting on. Spacious parking spot at bottom of driveway.
Central location to get to Freycinet National Park, wonderful walks to Wineglass Bay and beach etc.
We were given a quiet cabin on the edge of the site and were very pleased with the location. It was very well equipped, bed was comfortable. Campsite was quiet considering the numbers of people using it. Cafe and tavern on site with good pizzas and other food. Easy walking distance by attractive waterside walk (with lovely views of the Hazards) to Coles Bay with its excellent ice creamery/fish and chip shop and supermarket.
Beach Apartment 2 is great for 1 or 2 couples, it is the upstairs apartment so has a great view of the bay and the Hazards. It is really well appointed and is extremely spacious. The balcony and outdoor dining table are really nice for eating and enjoying the view. Everything is there for self catering, but you need to bring most things as there is not a lot in Coles Bay.
Amazingly spacious house located about six kilometres from Coles Bay and ideal for exploring the nearby areas. Very well appointed house ideal for large families or family gatherings. Great deck upstairs with good BBQ and square table which seats 8 persons.. Good quality bed linen and comfortable beds.
The cabin was huge, very spacious, clean and warm. Everything you need was included.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
We had fish and chips from local take away - delicious.
A short drive into the Freycinet NP for stunning walks. Just a beautiful part of the world.
Easy access to Park. Excellent breakfasts and dinners. Staff went out of their way to deal with luggage my husband left behind while loading the car. We were travelling for an additional 7 days around Tasmania and they got my bags to our final hotel destination in Hobart.
Great location! Just a few minutes from the main attraction (wineglass bay walk) and coles bay. The views from the bedroom and deck are wonderful, it’s the home big ticket. Cosy feeling and a lot of privacy.
Lovely quiet cabin to stay in during our time at the beautiful Freycinet! Comfy beds and well equipped kitchenette. Ros and family were friendly and gave us recommendations for the local area.
The location was just superb, as you arrive you just see the mountains so close, in all their glory. Being close to Swansea and Coles Bay made it easy to explore the surrounding areas.
This is an amazing property with an incredible view. The location is perfect for hiking and exploring the Freycinet Peninsula or just relaxing on the deck.
Location a little more remote than expected and should have picked up supplies from Bicheno rather than Coles Bay. Enjoyed the fact the house was off grid.
