The nicest part of Devonport was along the river and to the beach. The headland walk from the Surf Club and to the lighthouse was beautiful. The cafe at the Devonport Surf Club was really nice, the staff were very friendly and the coffee was excellent - 10/10.

We liked everything about Devonport.
We liked everything about Devonport. We had an evening meal at the Argosy and lunch at Banjos in the mall. Finding places around Devonport was easy and parking was very good. Lovely views of the Mersey River and beaches from lots of areas. The Antique Emporium and garden centres were excellent.

We love visiting Devonport.
We love visiting Devonport. It is a clean, tidy town and has all the facilities we need. It is also a great point to go out to places from, for example Tasmazia, Chudleigh, towns and beaches along the northern coast of Tasmania just to name a few.

We based ourselves in Devonport as we were visiting the coast area there We did travel south to do a bit of site seeing about Hobart etc. We travelled over and back on the Ferry which was a short 5 minute drive.
You can see most of the coast attractions an easy 45 minute drive from Devonport. Tasmania has excellent playgrounds for kids
Excellent, very friendly service from the motel managers who were extremely helpful in assisting us when our stay in Devonport was unexpectedly extended. Light-filled, clean, airy and large studio room with a well-equipped small kitchen. Excellent facilities - heated swimming pool, tennis court, laundry. Well-located in a quiet street only a few minutes walk from the coast and beaches, the city centre, and good restaurants. A high quality and economical place to stay in Devonport.
Stayed at the Argosy arriving in Devonport off The Spirit of Tasmania and the night before return firstly due to the 3 minute drive to the terminal
Convenient. The bottle shop is next door, has a guest laundry, clean, comfy beds and parking is good.
The hotel connected has really good pub meals and the water is straight across the road for strolls. Will definitely stay here on my next visit
Thumbs up Argosy !!
Reception was very friendly and helpful. The jumping pillow was good for the kids and a good location to use as a base to see the other little towns around the area. The Town centre was only about a 5 to 10 minute drive over the bridge. If you were planning to catch the spirit of Tasmania this would be an alright spot to stay.
Everything was great 👍
It is in a perfect position to access the Spirit of Tasmania and the town of Devenport..
It was well setup with everything you need for a short stay, clean and comfortable.
It looks great.
It has safe, secure parking.
Easy instructions for use of appliances and use of gate code and keysafe.
Clean hotel, comes with fridge toaster and other essentials which was handy! We stayed here before leaving in the morning for spirit of Tassie. Check out process was easy. Hotel is on waterfront and is walkable distance to restaurants and supermarket. Walking track right out front. Staff were super helpful.
Amazingly perfect views. The best hotel we've stayed at in our lives.
Stay in the seaview room on hillside, there's no toilet but it's worth it.
Some of the other rooms with toilets face the carpark so it's not so great.
Great value! Family Room was well kept with modern facilities including a solid TV. Filters on tap ✔
Walking distance of everything you need in Devonport and had a view of the Spirit of Tasmania.
Clean and well presented. Welcoming owner. Pleasant surroundings. Some nice treats. Close to Devonport for Spirit of Tasmania departure. Good location to have stayed longer had time permitted.
Location was great with just a short drive to the spirit of Tasmania, we stayed here on our arrival and departure. The room was clean & tidy, quiet location and staff were friendly and helpful.
We loved the decor and feel of this heritage hotel. Very friendly owners. Lovely cooked breakfast. It was within walking distance of central Devonport.
