Everything above expectations, nice touches like quality art on the walls, large good quality bathroom soaps, virtually new kitchen appliances and utensils. Soundproofing was good, I barely noticed the traffic noise from the A32.

Gosport is pleasant.
Gosport is pleasant. The area around Spring Garden Lane Apartments has some lovely houses, a beautifully converted rail station, green open areas. We ate at The New Benghal Indian restaurant. We also lunched at The Gosport Cafe. Both were very good. The apartment was within walking distance of the Gosport passenger ferry which takes you Portsmouth harbour.

Lots of historical buildings and a marvellous panorama of the harbour. Victualling Yard and the Submarine Alliance worth a visit, also the Explosion Museum plus a local history section in the Gosport Library very interesting.

The fun fare, archades, Fish n chips, nice ice cream shop on Lea in Solent and one stop shop near the Old Lodge hotel - excellent. The toilets on the Lee on Solent need attention - for hand-washing, water was not working and there was no soap.

We had a sea view room which gave us a panoramic view of the ocean and surrounding trees. There was a roll top bath inside the windows which felt like absolute luxury. The room had such nice touches to the decoration, it really felt as though love and care had been put into everything. The staff were ever so welcoming too; couldn’t do enough for us.
