You feel welcome and at home at this homestay. Unni's English is very good (he even knows some French), and he will tell you a lot about his island and country (if you're interested). He will be very helpful whatever your projects, needs and tastes. He will suggest many interesting, beautiful and/or useful places. His mother is quite a cook. I had all my meals (I asked for veg) at Coconut Homestay and I wish I could have had more! I strongly recommand taking one of their intimate tours in a canoe. If you have to choose between sunset and sunrise, take sunrise, particularly magic with the songs of temples and birds waking up slowly. The whole place in very clean and well equipped. Next time I come to India, I will definitely visit Munroe Island and stay at Unni and family's quiet and comfy spot.

We stayed in the larger cabin and had 4 wonderful nights here recently. Our hosts were so incredibly friendly, generous, kind and attentive in everything and were so responsive on WhatsApp, which was very helpful. It was fabulous to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the river. There was nothing much to do much chill, which we loved! We did enjoy a sunset canoe ride and we hired bikes too to explore the island. Highly recommend this place as it was the perfect break away. The Buttercup restaurant was a few minutes walk away, which we enjoyed for a Thali lunch on a couple of days too.

Akhil and his family is so kind, helpful and caring. They help you arrange boat/kayak tours and makes sure you are safe and comfortable the entire time, they made my stay in the island truly memorable.
