The guesthouse is located at the end of a small road right by the rice fields. It was very quiet and peaceful and I had a good night's sleep. The house is tastefully decorated and has all the amenities you would need, including a washing machine that you can use for a small cost. The host speaks good English and explained clearly about everything in the house. The room was clean and tidy, and the futon was very comfortable. I would recommend others to stay here.

Located in a quiet village off biwa lake, but not too far, we biked to there as we were doing round biwa trip. Owner offers free pick up from nearest train station. No worry that you don't have a car. But the place is for someone who like quiet stay. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes bike away. It is village house fashioned into a guest house. There is washing machine 200 yen per wash+dry! We washed our bike clothes. The bar like lobby allows cooking and meeting other guests. Owner is very friendly. My friend was too tired to continue biking, she wanted to take a taxi to next guest house, owner provided a very doable solution: asked another guest whom we chatted at dinner time, also a biker in her home country to bike with me, saved my friend carrying her bike, and at the same time satisfying this guest 's plan to bike around. She went back by train. I said she was imaginative ! Everyone was happy. She answered email, ie our needs promptly as she stays in her house a little away.
